#1224 Mystery Plant Salad

Show 1224 Sunday 27 June
Watch today's show at YouTube or BlipTV.

At the end of last year I went to a festival in Auckland and someone gave me a little plant.

I took it home and transferred it to a bigger pot. It grew into a huge plant.

The person who gave it to me said that it was edible, so I decided to make a big salad.

I put the leaves in a salad spinner and washed them and spun them.

Then I cut up some tomatoes.

And added balsamic vinegar, olive oil, salt and pepper.

It wasn’t the tastiest salad I’ve ever had … and I still have no idea what the plant was called.
